Nomore MSX world wide
   Written by Lord S.M.Zett

After the demise of MSX Info Blad an attempt was made to breathe life into it again under the name of MSX World Wide.

However, it appears that the last surviving Dutch MSX magazine will cease.

One last issue of MSX World Wide will be released with an included bonus CD, but after that the days of (Dutch) MSX news printed on paper will be over.

There is a chance another magazine will appear in the future, never say die!

Thank you Rinus and Co. for your efforts and bringing us years of nice msxpapers! It was great!

To bad that it over, but the internet is much faster with news than a magazine.

But still, something solid like a paper magazine, is nice too since it is nice to browse through.
Do you browse through old newsposts? Most would say no. But they would browse through old magazines.

Also, articles in magazines usually are a bit more elaborate, and thus nicer to read with added pictures and markup.

Too bad indeed an Era of printed msx news is over now..

But as Zett said.. who knows something similar might return to try and fill the gap.

Thanks a lot Rinus for the years of support!

Pity all this happens. There are times I prefer printed material over a computer screen as well. So it seems we need to continue with the booklets or newsletters released by the remaining MSX clubs.

Too bad about MWW. I must admit not being a subscriber to it, but I'm sure it filled a niche in the MSX market.
Best wishes to Rinus, and I really hope he will keep visiting MSX fairs!

As for what's next; let the rumour mill commence smilies/icon_wink.gif

Well we could make a nice full colour magazine and place it online in PDF format. And maybe a paper format for the people who want that. But a full color magazine is a bit expensive (let's say 20 pages A5 full colour == 5 euro).

See MCCW - died after two or three issues...

The point is that creating a magazine, be it on paper or online, is actually a lot of hard work, and there's not too many people willing or able to spend that time. And for any magaize to really work, you even need skilled people: writers, graphic artists, editors, ... and yes: more than one of each.
All in all, although I would love to see an other printed or online magazine, I don't think it's gonna happen.

Just my 2 cts...
